It´s much cheaper than in most other countries. We are co-operating with an excellent, friendly English-speaking dentist. He got his education abroad, at a university in Slovakia. He has a modern, very clean office situated one street off the beach in Peramos (three kilometers from our hotel). This is really a perfect chance to combine sun, swimming and something as boring as dental work - and to save a lot of money, too!
Greek dentists are not allowed to advertise, but I can tell that my sister had got an estimate for the job she needed done in Norway, at 1000 euros, while she ended up paying 220 euros in Greece. Flying in cheap with Ryan air, it meant that she actually came home with money in her pockets - and very pretty teeth! A normal check up and cleaning costs approximately 30 euros with our affordable dentist. And when Jason recently fell and chipped off the corners of both his front teeth we paid 60 euros to get them fixed - good as new.
