The highest point of Symbosio is at 693 meters above sea level and you can actually get close on the bike. There's a crisscross net of track roads along the mountain, which makes it possible to go biking along the back, where you'll have stunning views to what seems the whole world - on one side the ocean stretches to Africa (no, you can't actually see Africa), on the other side you'll see the green valley that separates Symbosio from the the mountain of Pangeo. You can continue along this roads further south to the villages of Myrtofyto or Folia, or go east through the forest to the small town of Eleftheroupolis. See the map here. Riding a bike from the garden villas to the beach is another option. Eleftheres is situated only three kilometres from the sea, but we'd recommend a slightly longer route when you go on bike, on quiet country roads through the vineyards. When you have reach the coast you can either stop to swim or continue along the sea exploring more beaches - or both!
There are short distances between our local villages - Elaioxori is three kilometres from Eleftheres, then follows Myrtofyto another four kilometres away and finally Folia in the end of the valley, six kilometres from Eleftheres. So bicycling from village to village, stopping at local coffee shops or tavernas for refreshments, is also an option. Whatever you choose - bicycling in Greece is a lovely adventure!
