Closest airport is Alexander the Great at Kavala/Chrysoupolis, 40 minutes drive from Eleftheres. In the tourist season, from early May to mid-October, there are cheap flights directly from most European countries. Thomson from UK, Martin Air from Holland, SkyEurope , Air Berlin - to mention some. Apollo and Ving flies directly from Scandinavian (see links below), Apollo flies from Norway on Saturdays and Ving on Tuesdays.Norwegian flies to Athens and then you'll need a connecting flight. Aegean Air flies from Athens to Kavala (Every time I put up a link to their website a window pops up saying "Hurra, you won a million dollar" - check Airtickets Greece for flights with Aegean instead).

SAS and Air France sometimes have good deals to Athens, as well as Easy Jet. If you live in Bergen, Kristiansand or Trondheim check KLM from these cities to Amsterdam, then to Athens. From Kavala Airport we arrange pick up. Price is 30 euro (pr. car). Taxi costs 40 euro.

In the winter it's very often cheaper to fly to Thessaloniki, despite that you'll have to pay approximately 100 euro for a taxi from there to Eleftheres (we'll send a reliable driver to pick you up). Usually Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines have good deals to Thessaloniki. Worth checking out is also German Wings.

The Macedonia airport of Thessaloniki is less than two hours drive from Eleftheres. From the airport you can take the bus to the main bus station in Thessaloniki (KTEL) and then get on a bus to Kavala, which leaves every hour (9, 10, 11 etc). Bus costs aproximately 9 euros. But if you are three-four persons its not such a big difference in price taking a taxi, plus it saves you quite some time. Though you might want to spend a night or two in Thessaloniki - it's a great city! If you come by bus you'll either get off in Peramos or in Eleftheroupolis (depending if the bus goes the inland or coastline road). Here we'll arrange pick up.
