Our closest airport is Kavala (45 minutes drive), and might be a better option if you come via Athens. Also, several charter companies flies to Kavala (and ship the charter tourists over to the island of Thassos).

From the airport

We can also arrange for you to be picked up at Thessaloniki airport, by our private driver (which is far cheaper than taxi). The price depends on how many you are and for how long you stay, so please mail me for more info.

An easy and economic option is to take the bus to the main bus station in Thessaloniki (KTEL) (that takes one hour) and then get on a bus to Kavala, which leaves every hour (9, 10, 11 etc). Bus costs approximately 12 euros. If you come by bus you'll either get off in Peramos or in Eleftheroupolis (depending if the bus goes the inland or coastline road). Here we'll arrange pick up, free off charge.
