Not very much to brag about, but enough to annoy me as I had to go to <b>Thessaloniki</b>. I decided to go by bus, which was a good choice as it was <b>pouring down with snow on the way</b> - the road goes inland and its usually a bit colder there than here by the coast.<p>Coming back in the evening there was <B>total chaos</b> as we reached Akrouvouni - loads of cars had <b>got stuck</b> in the snow.<p> Christos had already set out to pick me up from Eleftheroupolis, but as it by then was raining in Eleftheres he had <b>not put the chains</b> on. From the top of the mountain that separates the two villages it was snowing heavily. He somehow <b>made it down the mountain</b>, but when I suggested wed put on the chains before going back he optimistically refused. <P><b>"Hey, were driving a six year old Renault Kangoo, after all!"</b><p> And of course, like all MEN, he <b>wont listen to his wife</b> when it comes to car dealings.<p> Well, it didnt take long before I got my <b>"I told you so"</b> moment. 50 meters from the top of the mountain we were stuck.<P>As neither me, nor Christos has much experience in putting on wheel chains, we were fumbling there in the cold - me holding the torch, Christos pretending that he knew what he was doing. At least not compared to northern European and US cities!<p> Realizing what a great venue <a href=http://www.kairos-holidays.com/my-big-fat-greek-restaurant.html>our restaurant Mythos</a> actually is, I have started organizing a few events during the winter months. We had a great Xmas party, with a huge buffet and disco dancing.<p> Last Sunday I did a book bazaar - where people could bring books and magazines they want to change or sell. On the menu: Non-Greek dishes like traditional tomato soup, Quiche Lorraine and apple pie with creme. Not that I have anything against Greek food, but sometimes its nice to eat something else!<p>For that reason, Ill also do an Indian night on February 6th - with Indian food and Bollywood music.
