Wellness Treatments

Wellness is a part of your Kairos holistic holidays. Your vacation is the perfect occasion to treat yourself to something special - whether it's a Ayurveda therapy, pedicure or a mudbath. We are co-operating with great local therapists in different fields. More wellness options will be added soon!

Manicure/Pedicure

After the long winter in socks and heavy shoes your feet are finally free! Now you can walk barefoot or in open sandals. Celebrate by getting a pedicure and your toe nails painted - whether you go for a plain neutral varnish or a cheerful design with flowers or stars you'll love it! And why don't treat your hands to a manicure at the same time?

Kiki also offers a special spa treatment for your feet. In addition to normal pedicure you'll also get a massage and peeling. Your feet will feel incredibly soft afterwards!

The cost for pedicure and/or manicure with Kiki starts at 15 euros.

Healing Mudbaths

The healing mudbath of Lydia is a fantastic treatment to make your skin glow and to increase your blood circulation. Also great for all kinds of skin illnesses as psoriasis and eczema. Read more here.

Healing Mineral Baths

The healing mineral baths of Loutra Eleftheron has been known since the time of Alexander the Great. Good for aching backs and joint and used as treatment for rheumatism. Read more here.

Ayurveda Therapy

The first time I had Ayurveda therapy (see the charming picture of me in the sauna box, left) with Ayurveda therapist Hanny Kyriakou, I couldn't talk about anything else for a week, as it felt so fantastic! Not only during the treatment itself, but for days afterwards.

Ayurveda is a 5000 years old system for healing that origins from India - even early Greek medicine was based on Ayurveda. Ayurveda works through prevention of illnesses by re-creating the balance and energy flow of your body.

During a session with Hanny she will first talk with you to learn about what problems you have and what kind of person you are, as all the oils she uses during the therapeutic massage is specially created for you. (Ideally, she should meet up with you some days before the treatment, to learn to know you a bit, as some of the oils need days of preparation.) Pulse and blood pressure is measured, and then she will start massaging the warm oils into your body. It's very comfortable and relaxing!

Finally, you will finish off with a cup of hot ginger tea, before spending five minutes in the sauna box. Then a good shower. The whole thing lasted three hours.

It's best not to schedule anything for the rest of the day, because all you'd want to do is nothing...I felt incredibly relaxed, like all stress had been washed off. Or, like I best describe it: Like you start feeling on the third day of your lazy-laid-back holidays in Greece! The wonderful feeling stayed with me for many days. Best off all was almost how I felt psychologically - it's like a sharp edge was removed from my mind. I felt kinder and nicer and other people's nastiness, that normally would get on my nerves, was something I'd just shrug off like "their problem, not mine".

Therapy sessions with Hanny need to be booked in advance, so send me a mail if you want Ayurveda during your stay with us. Treatment cost approximately 80 euros, but can be more expensive depending on oils used.
